Whether you already have your own boat at Lake Tahoe or plan to bring it to the lake you will want to know what facilities are available for the launching and servicing of your vessel, if necessary.

Before you head out be sure to check the Safe Boating Tips page for a list of all required and suggested safety gear you should have aboard as well as some valuable tips on making your boating experience at Lake Tahoe the most enjoyable and safe it can be. Also visit the Emergency Services page for information on how and to whom to report a boating emergency. The prudent skipper should be adequately prepared before venturing out onto Lake Tahoe!

There are over a dozen places around the lake where you may launch your boat or have it launched for you. Included on the Boat Launches page is a map showing the general location of each of those sites as well as links to detailed, interactive Google maps with driving directions to each facility.

One of the most important things you'll need to know once out boating is where to find fuel!  Marinas that offer fueling services are generally no more than a few miles apart with the exception of areas along the east shore. Visit the Marinas page for a list of all those facilities and information on their fuel prices and locations. Should you be planning to leave your boat in the water for more than a day, information is also provided on their mooring and slip rentals.

Repair or minor servicing of your boat may also become necessary and many of the marinas have mechanics on staff who can help. There are also repairmen who will come to your boat, wherever it is located. See Boat Repairs for a complete list. If it's just supplies or equipment you need there are several chandleries where you may find what you need.

Interested in diving at Lake Tahoe? Check the Diving page for some tips on diving safety and locations here, where to rent equipment and have your tanks filled.

When the season is over and it's time to put your boat away check out the Boat Storage page for all the facilities where you might stash it for the winter.
